Keywords:

Four banana clones (Gal, Jaffa, Grand Naine and Williams) were evaluated in the Agricultural Technology Validation Center of Mission Tacaagle, subtropical region Province Formosa, Argentina, with the objective of determining the yield and commercial quality of fruit during four agricultural periods. The work was established in January 2010 and ended in August 2013. It evaluated 800 bunches for the variable fruit weight and 200 bunches for fruit quality. Statistical differences were found between agricultural periods, clones and agricultural period interaction × clones at P: 0.001 for the variables fruit weight and number of fingers per bunch. The quality of the fruit differed statistically between clones at P: 0.001 and also in the hand number within clones at P: 0.001.
