Abstract

INIAF - YESERA is a new variety of biofortified wheat (Triticum aestivum) that has been released and put at the disposal of producers, for the commercial cultivation under rainfed conditions and irrigation of the agricultural area of the Santa Ana River and Tarija Arce Province Bolivia. The INIAF - YESERA variety has an average national yield of 2500 kg ha-1 with a yield potential up to 3600 kg ha-1. It has a tolerance to leaf spots, rusts and a high content of protein, iron and zinc. This new variety is considered in public good for local, departmental and national public institutions in order to promote their dissemination, multiplication, transformation and consumption through strategies that ensure their use.
